Q: How would you describe yourself?A: I am leader and team player. I enjoy seeing others succeed. My heart is big and my desire to make a difference is very important.

Q: Have you ever attended World or National Games?                                                        A: Competing at the USA Games in Seattle, WA was my first time and I am proud of my teammates. We placed 3rd and received bronze medals.

Q: How did you prepare for the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games?                                A: I focused on healthy eating, gym workouts, jogging, practice at batting cages, and throwing.

Q: How has Special Olympics changed your life?                                                                   A: Five years ago I joined Special Olympics and really just knew that I loved sports, but the moment that changed my life is when I became friends with this amazing group of people that I now call family. I am blessed to be surrounded by these people who bring the best out in me. Special Olympics is my life.

 Yes, this Summer in Seattle will be my second USA Games.

Q  Do you have a job?
A Yes, I have been a Walmart greeter for 17 years.
Q  What do you like to do in your spare time?
A  I like to spend time with my sisters. We will go shopping, out to eat, to the movies, get coffee, or go to the park.
Q What was the moment that changed everything for you?
A  When I was diagnosed with cancer.

Q  Are you employed?
A  Yes. I work at the Rapides Arc doing warehouse work using tools and fulfilling contracts with factories. I have been working there for 1 year.
Q  What is your favorite Special Olympics memory?
A  My favorite memories are travelling to competitions, making friends, and getting to bowl. I am much more social now that I’m involved in Special Olympics.

Q  What are some of your hobbies?
A  I love to shop for clothes. I also love to play the card game UNO.

Q What are your goals?
A  I want to become a professional bowler.

  • Q: What are some fun facts about you?
    A: I love the TV show Supernatural. I also have 1 sister and 4 dogs.

    Q: What is your favorite Special Olympics memory?
    A: My favorite memory has been making friends. 

    Q: How have you changed since becoming involved in Special Olympics?
    A: I used to be nervous but now I am calm.

A: I am the only autistic person in my family. I have two brothers, I love fast rides, and Disney World.

Q: What is your favorite memory that has happened while you have been with Special Olympics?

A: My favorite memory was when I dressed up like Michael Jackson for the Halloween dance at State Fall Classic.

Q: Who has helped you the most to get to this point?

A: Ms. Katie Botts, my coach, has helped me most. She is always there when I need help with anything.

Q: What are you goals?

A: I want to graduate high school and get a job. I want to go to Los Angeles and visit where the celebrities are. I would love to go to a Rams game and Disney World!

  • A: My favorite memories are competing in bowling and horseshoes.

    A: My greatest accomplishment is playing in sports, mostly basketball.
