As most of you know the NCAA Final 4 is in New Orleans this year. Four of the best teams in college hoops competed on Saturday, with the Kentucky Wildcats and the Kansas Jayhawks prevailing as the teams to play in the championship tonight! Before the the championship tonight in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, we wanted to share a couple of pictures from the clinic some of our athletes attended yesterday sponsored by the NCAA. Our athletes were given the chance to learn from some of the best college coaches across the country including University of New Orleans Head Coach Mark Slessigner. Other universities represented were George Washington and St. Paul’s to name a few…
Our athletes were put through drills such as passing, catching, shooting, and dribbling to better understand the game. After the drills, our athletes competed against the coaches in a full-court game!
Many thanks to all of the coaches, Special Olympics North America staff, The New Orleans Convention Center, and the NCAA for hosting Special Olympics Louisiana!
