Each summer, law enforcement officials carry the Flame of Hope across the state culminating with the Torch Run Final Leg, and the lighting of the cauldron to officially open the Special Olympics Louisiana Summer Games in Hammond. This torch relay involves more than 2,500 law enforcement officers and personnel representing more than 200 law enforcement agencies across Louisiana. The 2018 Law Enforcement Torch Run will take place on May 14th-May 20th.

Did you know that The Law Enforcement Torch Run® for Special Olympics Louisiana, or LETR, unites officers from law enforcement agencies and corrections departments across the state in an effort to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics Louisiana? Torch Run efforts to raise funds include collecting corporate sponsorships, selling T-shirts, Running, and hosting unique fundraising events.

Torch Run

Law enforcement officFlameers from all over the State of Louisiana participate in the annual Torch Run each year. Special Olympics Louisiana will host the 2017 Torch Run beginning on May 15th and it will last through May 19th.  This torch relay involves more than 1,500 law enforcement officers and personnel representing more than 200 law enforcement agencies across Louisiana

Torch Run efforts to raise funds include collecting corporate sponsorships, selling T-shirts, Running, and hosting unique fundraising events.

Be sure to cheer on the officers as the run through your town.
