Special Olympics Louisiana values dedication and would like to honor the time many individuals have spent making a difference in the lives of our athletes. We truly appreciate their continued support of our movement and their efforts in changing the way Louisiana views our athletes.

Listed below are the individuals who have been chosen as the recipients of the 2016 Sports Awards. We would like to recognize the outstanding achievements of these individuals.

The efforts they exhibit today will benefit those with intellectual disabilities for the future. Special Olympics Louisiana has been proudly serving people for almost 49 years. Valero Energy Foundation Donates to Special Olympics Louisiana

IMG_3386.JPGSOLA received a  $10,000.00 donation from the Valero Energy Foundation on October 20th, 2016 for the for the 2016 Valero Texas Open Benefit for Children Golf Classic. A total of $570,000 was given to 39 charities.

2016 St. Tammany Champions Together Breakfast

We are asking you to Reveal the Champion in yourself and in our Special Olympics Louisiana athletes. This event is Special Olympics’ annual campaign. Participants are invited to a breakfast that will raise awareness and engage the community by showcasing some of the unique programs Special Olympics Louisiana has to offer.

You will meet our athletes and hear their stories of how Special Olympics transforms lives every day. You will find yourself relating to our coaches, partners, volunteers and management team members and leave wanting to get involved. Feel free to bring a friend and join us to see how Special Olympics reveals the champion in all of us!

CENLA Interest Meeting

On Thursday, April 28th, at 6:00 pm at the ARC of Rapides (John Eskew Center) 1700 Ashley Avenue , Alexandria La, 71301, there will be a meeting of interested people from schools and various businesses and civic organizations in the area. You will receive information concerning how you or your organization can lend your support to Special Olympics Louisiana. Without your help, many of the Cenla area boys, girls, men, and women will continue to stand on the sidelines.
