This past weekend, we had the wonderful opportunity to promote the Special Olympics World Summer Games and the Unified Relay Across America at WWE events in Baton Rouge and Lake Charles!

WWE and Special Olympics Louisiana

This weekend, WWE will be in at the River Center in Baton Rouge and Civic Center in Lake Charles, LA.  If you are going, be sure to look for the Special Olympics Louisiana booth!  We will be there talking about the 2015 World Summer Games, the Unified Relay Across America, and of course, WWE and their awesome commitment to Special Olympics!

Superstars for Hope

WWE announced the launch of Superstars for Hope, a fundraising campaign to benefit Special Olympics and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford in hon300_WWE-Superstars-for-Hope-to-Benefit-Special-Olympics02-27-2015or of Connor’s Cure. The announcement was made by WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon, WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan and WWE Superstar John Cena. Tonight, on Fox Sports 1, join us as we “Celebrate Champions!”  The one-hour show will premier tonight at 6pm CST.  Thanks to USA Games Founding Partners WWE and 21st Century Fox, the first-ever nationally televised show, recapping a USA Games, will be broadcast.  Our very own athlete, Theo “TC” Bazile, will be featured in the show!

Thanks to USA Games Founding Partners WWE and 21st Century Fox, the first-ever nationally televised show, recapping a USA Games, will be broadcast on FOX Sports 1.

“Celebrating Champions” is a one-hour television event that will celebrate the Games, highlight competition, ceremonies, special events, Special Olympics initiatives, and most importantly, will show the Games through the eyes of the athletes themselves. Wrestlemania hosts a Special place in our hearts

WWE and SOLA unified gameSpecial Olympics Louisiana is proud to partner with the WWE for Wrestlemania 30 taking place this weekend in New Orleans, LA. Several WWE Superstars and Divas played a Unified Basketball game at Tulane earlier this week and Special Olympics has a booth at the Axxess event this weekend. As a founding partner of the 2014 SO USA Games, WWE has also invited a few of the 2014 USA Games Team Louisiana athletes to attend Wrestlemania 30!
