Join us for the exhibition of “Brave in the Attempt: Special Olympics in Louisiana” at the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame & Northwest Louisiana History Museum in Natchitoches. This exhibition highlights the history of Special Olympics with a focus on the organization’s efforts in Louisiana. The foundation for Special Olympics Louisiana was built at the 1968 Special Olympics Games, held on Soldier’s Field in Chicago. The exhibit opened May 5, 2018 and will be open throughout the year in honor of Special Olympics Louisiana’s 50th Anniversary.

Did you know that The Law Enforcement Torch Run® for Special Olympics Louisiana, or LETR, unites officers from law enforcement agencies and corrections departments across the state in an effort to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics Louisiana? Torch Run efforts to raise funds include collecting corporate sponsorships, selling T-shirts, Running, and hosting unique fundraising events.
