No costs are imposed on Special Olympics Louisiana athletes or their families. To continue to operate in this manner, Special Olympics Louisiana depends upon the cash and in-kind donations of our many generous sponsors and donors to fund its year-round program, parish, area and statewide. We would like to extend special thanks to our sponsors.

This holiday season we are working with Finish Line to get even more athletes off of the bench & into the game!
For the fifth year in a row, Finish Line will be holding its annual holiday fundraising campaign benefiting Special Olympics from November 17 – December 25, 2016 at over 600 Finish Line stores across the United States. Finish Line is national partner of Special Olympics who provides support for fitness programming and robust volunteer support across the country.
SOLA received a $10,000.00 donation from the Valero Energy Foundation on October 20th, 2016 for the for the 2016 Valero Texas Open Benefit for Children Golf Classic. A total of $570,000 was given to 39 charities.
The Annual Knights of Columbus Benefit Dinner was a success! SOLA athlete, Hunter Reno, was invited to say the Pledge of Allegiance and was even able to show off his Special Olympics medals that he has won. At the end of the program, Hunter was even chosen to pull the winning name of the $500 prize award!
Special thanks to Ms. Donna Reno, Hunter’s mom, for donating wine glasses painted by athletes that were sold at the event. The wine glasses were a big hit!
A very special Thank You to the Knights of Columbus Council 2952 (Hammond) for hosting this event for the past 18 years and all those who came out to the event!
