This weekend was a great weekend for Special Olympics flag football! Athletes and unified partners from Nicholls State University and the surrounding area traveled to Lake Charles to compete in a unified flag football game against divisional rival McNeese State University. Nicholls held the lead until the final play of the first half when athlete Matthew Dubone scored on a 50 yard catch! McNeese went on to win the game 19-6. After the game, the two teams enjoyed friendly tailgate hosted by the McNeese Alumni Association.
